Odefit Disclaimer
Last updated: 21.09.2026
This disclaimer forms part of the Terms of Service. By using the app you confirm you have read and understood it.
1. General Information Only
All training programmes, nutrition suggestions, calorie/macro calculations, AI coaching replies, movement-tracking output and fitness test results in the Odefit app (“the App”) are for general information and personal tracking only. They are not personalised medical, dietetic or physiotherapy advice.
2. The Programmes Are General — They Are Not Adapted To You
This section matters and should be read carefully.
- The ready-made training programmes and movement catalogue are written for a general audience on general training principles. None of them has been prepared for, or adapted to, your personal circumstances.
- The programmes do not take into account your height, weight, body mass index (BMI), age, sex, body-fat percentage, past or present injuries, surgical history, chronic conditions, medication, joint or spinal problems, pregnancy, or training history.
- Any weight, repetition or duration the App shows you is derived arithmetically from figures you entered yourself (for example your own recorded one-rep max). It is not a prescription written by a professional who has assessed you. If what you entered is wrong, what comes out is wrong.
- The calculators (BMI, basal metabolic rate, calorie needs, one-rep-max estimates and so on) are based on statistical formulas developed for population averages. They may not be accurate for you as an individual.
- Deciding whether a movement is appropriate for you, what load you can handle, and which programme suits you is your responsibility and that of any health or fitness professional who has assessed you in person.
3. Not Medical Advice
- Odefit is not a healthcare provider. Nothing in the App replaces examination, diagnosis or treatment by a doctor, dietitian, physiotherapist or other health professional.
- Consult a doctor before starting any training or nutrition programme, particularly if any of the following applies: cardiovascular disease, hypertension, diabetes, respiratory illness, chronic illness, neurological conditions, musculoskeletal conditions, pregnancy or recent childbirth, recent surgery or injury, a history of eating disorders, or any condition about which your doctor has cautioned you regarding physical activity.
- If you have an existing health condition, obtain your doctor’s approval before acting on anything in the App.
- The App does not diagnose, and does not prescribe treatment.
4. Risk of Physical Activity, and Assumption of Risk
- All physical activity carries an inherent risk of injury. That risk includes muscle and ligament strains, sprains, tears, fractures, joint and spinal injuries, dizziness, fainting, serious cardiac events including heart attack, and in rare cases death.
- By using the App you acknowledge these risks and accept them voluntarily.
- Perform movements within your own physical limits, with correct form, after warming up, and under supervision where appropriate.
- Stop immediately if you feel pain, dizziness, chest pain, palpitations, blurred vision or shortness of breath, and seek medical help if needed. “Push through the pain” is not an approach this App endorses.
- Using appropriate equipment, safety bars or racks, and a spotter where needed is your responsibility.
5. Limits of the AI Features
- The AI coach, food recognition, text-to-meal parsing and weekly report features are produced by AI models (Google Gemini). Their output can be wrong, incomplete, inconsistent or out of date.
- Calorie and macro estimates from a photo or from text are approximations and can differ substantially from the true values. If a medical condition (for example diabetes, food allergy, coeliac disease, kidney disease, phenylketonuria) means you need accurate intake tracking, do not rely on these estimates — read the product label and consult a dietitian.
- AI-suggested movements or load calculations do not reflect your physical capacity, injury history or anatomy.
- No AI output is written into your records without your confirmation. The decision to confirm, and its consequences, are yours.
6. Limits of Camera-Based Movement Tracking
- The App’s camera rep counter uses a general-purpose on-device pose library. It is not a form or technique assessment.
- Rep counts can be wrong, and for part of the catalogue — the movements a single camera cannot see reliably — no count is produced at all.
- The App does not assess whether your movement is correct or safe, and no number it displays means your form is safe.
7. Fitness Tests
- Fitness tests are physically demanding and may require maximal effort. The warnings in section 3 apply with particular force before attempting one.
- For some tests the App only records and charts the measurement without producing an interpretation or rating. That is because validated reference values for that test have not yet been entered. The absence of an interpretation is a deliberate safeguard against presenting an invented one, not an omission.
8. Content You Upload
- You are responsible for everything you upload, including photographs.
- Copyright, permission to use, and the sharing of any personal data contained in that content are the uploader’s responsibility.
- Do not upload a photograph of another person without their explicit consent.
9. About Professional Services
- Trainers, dietitians and other professionals from whom you buy services through the App are not employees of Odefit. Odefit is an intermediary platform.
- The personal advice those professionals give, the programmes they write and the outcomes of both are their own professional responsibility.
- See the “Professional Marketplace” section of the Terms of Service.
10. No Guarantee of Results
Odefit guarantees no weight loss, muscle gain, performance improvement, change in measurements or health outcome. Results vary considerably between individuals according to genetics, nutrition, sleep, hormonal status, consistency, stress and medical history.
11. Limitation of Liability, and the Limits of That Limitation
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, Odefit is not liable for loss arising from the use of information, calculations, suggestions or AI output in the App.
- However: under Article 115 of the Turkish Code of Obligations, an agreement excluding liability for intent or gross negligence in advance is void. Nothing in this disclaimer excludes Odefit’s liability for its own intent or gross negligence.
- Equally, nothing here limits your rights under consumer legislation or any other right that cannot be waived by law.
- If any provision of this disclaimer is held invalid, the remainder stands.
12. Emergencies
This App is not an emergency service and must not be used in a medical emergency. If you are experiencing one, call your local emergency number immediately (112 in Türkiye) or go to the nearest emergency department.
